In response to Eulalia's comment,
Tks for the two cents, Eulalia. Dr T's words really struck me.. just like in any text types, we have to have a targetted audience... who we would like to impact most. I have been thinking to write something from a child's perspective. You know.. as mothers, we always have the challenge of getting our children what to eat on their plate.. but children nowadays are very choosy.. most of the time, mothers like me tend to give in. So from here, it inspired me to write something about what a child at age as young as 5 years old would like to have/be when they grow up, knowing the challenges ahead .As such, I came up with this theme in mind.. "What's on my plate?" The target audience will be mothers and mum's to be. THe others may learn something from it.. hopefully.

Wow! That would be an awe-inspiring topic and title! You certainly have a wide audience before you. Mothers are very much concerned about this issue. You're right. Our kids are picky, something that I can't do or show during my childhood days.Of course I had preferences but my parents were strict about the rule, "Eat what is on the table."
ReplyDeleteThen as I grow old, I realised that we are what we eat and...cost counts.
Best of luck, Siti!
Yes agree that this topic sounds good :) Since you are going to put yourself into the child's perspective, maybe you can have a shot of a plate that has all the right food on it and then another shot of a plate that shows stuff that we wouldn't exactly eat (like insects - where other countries do eat it), and each item is kind of linked from plate 1 to plate 2 either via colour code or position on the plate :) sorry... just blabbering ;) but ya :) good topic :)
